The Americas 170 project consisted in the adaptation of a façade in what will be one of the most important office buildings in Guadalajara. In the micro perforated mesh panels, patterns that help to passively control the solar incidence are trimmed. These clipping patterns are based on several analysis of suns on the site. For the assembly of the façade, the structure of the building is used.
The double layer configuration helps the superposition of the patterns cause a sense of change and movement from the point of view of passers-by. At the same time, a set of changing lights on the façade accentuates its dynamism.
